  1. Do I need to make a reservation?
    Reservations are not required for general visits. Reservations are accepted if you have an organized group of 15 or more visitors. Click here for group information (link to group visits) or call our Program Coordinator at 860-443-4367 or email nikki@enaturesart.com.

  2. What age visitors will enjoy the park?
    All ages enjoy Dinosaur Crossing! Everyone is awed by the diversity and immense size of our dinosaurs. Plus, for youngsters we have a pint-sized playscape, for school-age kids we offer touch and learn stations and New England’s only double-tower Spacenet®, for moms, dads and grandparents there is abundant wildlife viewing and a relaxing picnic area. So yes, everyone will have a one-of-a-kind family day trip!

  3. How long does it take to visit?
    A visit to Dinosaur Crossing can take on average 2-4 hours. If you are also going to participate in the indoor hands-on activities, you should plan on spending an additional 1-3 hours here.

  4. Are there food services on site?
    Yes, we offer the following:
    Cobalt Cafe: Located inside the main Nature’s Art building, the Cobalt Cafe has pizza, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, made-to-order sandwiches, treats and more. You may enjoy your lunch indoors at the café or we can pack it for you to eat in the scenic picnic area
    Ice Cream Shop: Located at the park entrance is a full-service ice cream shop featuring Gifford’s delicious ice cream served as cones, milkshakes and sundaes. Rootbeer floats and old-fashioned fresh-squeezed lemonade are also available
    Picnic Area: Guests are welcome to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the beautiful shaded picnic area inside the park. Please note, alcoholic beverages are not permitted.

  5. How much does it cost to park and is there room for campers?
    Parking is always free and we have ample parking to accommodate campers (no overnight facilities).

  6. Can I use my stroller on the trails or rent one there?
    You are welcome to bring your own stroller to walk the trails, as we do not have them available for rent at this time. Strollers with wide tires are recommended to navigate the packed gravel trails.

  7. Are you handicapped accessible?
    The park trails are made with packed gravel in a beautiful natural environment and are best navigated using a wheelchair with wide tires. We do not have wheelchairs available for rent at this time. The restrooms and the indoor areas of our facility are fully handicapped accessible.

  8. Are you open if it rains?
    Yes, the park is open rain or shine! In the event of severe weather (lightning, high winds, etc.) we do close the park for the safety of our guests. We do not offer rain checks or admission refunds.

  9. What forms of payment do you accept and is there an ATM on site?
    We accept with a picture ID Visa, MasterCard, and debit cards (with a Visa or MasterCard logo); personal checks with a Driver’s License (numbered 300 and above); and good old-fashioned cash! We do not have an ATM on site at this time.

  11. Can I have a birthday party in Dinosaur Crossing?
    Yes, with paid admission you and your guests have access to the park, playground and picnic area. Unfortunately we do not have a pavilion that can be reserved for your party. Please have all members of your group meet at the park entrance to purchase tickets and enter all at the same time.
    We also offer great birthday packages that take place in our main building, which include a fun hands-on learning activity, a take-home treasure, your own personal party host and more.   12. Do you allow pets?
    No, pets are not allowed.

  13. Is smoking permitted?
    For the health and safety of our guests, the park is a smoke-free environment.

  14. Is photography permitted?
    Absolutely! You are welcome to take pictures and video anywhere in the park and in the indoor Activity Center. However, photography is not allowed in the Nature’s Art gift shop or in the Fossil Gallery.

  15. Is Dinosaur Crossing admission valid all day?
    Yes, your park admission is valid for an entire day and you may leave and re-enter as necessary with a valid hand stamp.

  16. Can I climb on the dinosaurs?
    No, each dinosaur is a one-of-a-kind artwork and may not be climbed on. Monty’s Playground does offer plenty of safe climbing opportunities. Guests must stay on the marked trails, however, some of the larger exhibits allow you to stand next to a dinosaur and capture a great photo.

  17. Are the dinosaurs real?
    We wish! Unfortunately, dinosaurs became extinct approximately 66 million years ago. At Dinosaur Crossing you will see life-sized and life-like sculptures made out of concrete and steel.
