Group Visit Policies

Reservations

  • Reservations and deposits are due at least 3 weeks prior to your visit and are non
    refundable.The deposit is $50 for up to 30 children and $100 for groups of 30 or more.Your reservation is secured upon receipt of your deposit and signed confirmation.
  • Dinosaur Crossing (seasonal) is open rain or shine. Deposit refunds are not issued for cancellations.

Arrival

  • Check-in time is 10 minutes prior to your program start time.Children shall remain on the bus until greeted by a Staff Instructor.
  • We cannot guarantee staff, program or activity availability for groups that arrive early or late.

Chaperones

  • Chaperones must be at least age 21.One chaperone required for every 10 children.Additional chaperones or junior counselors must pay the Dinosaur Crossing admission fee. All chaperones may observe indoor programs and activities free of charge. If participating, the associated fee must be included in your balance payment.
  • Chaperones must stay with children at all times and are responsible for the safety of the children and the exhibits they visit.

Group Size

  • Minimum group size is 15 participantsNotify us one week before your visit of changes to group size.
  • At check-in you may adjust your group size by 1 participant per 10 reserved. Additional participants will be charged as quoted. No refunds if you reduce your number of participants by more than 1 per 10 reserved.

Ice Cream and Lunch Options

  • Lunch may be pre-ordered from our Cobalt Café. Please call for a menu.Orders must be placed at least 3 days prior to your visit. Ice cream may be pre-ordered at a discounted rate. Please call for a menu.
  • Bag lunches can be eaten in our North Lot picnic area at no charge. Admission required for access to Dinosaur Crossing picnic area. Please note that Nature’s Art does not have a cafeteria. During inclement weather you may eat inside (floor seating) for a clean-up fee (subject to room availability and group size – call for rate).

Nature's Art Gift Shop

  • Great souvenirs for under $5.00Pre-made souvenir bags also available.
  • Children must be adequately chaperoned while shopping.

Balance Payment

  • The balance is due upon arrival in the form of cash, check (made payable to Nature’s Art) or credit card (VISA or MASTERCARD) unless otherwise arranged.Prices are plus applicable Connecticut tax.A copy of your State Tax Exemption Permit (E-number permit or Federal/ Group Determination Letter) must be received BEFORE the day of your visit. No tax adjustments will be made after your transaction has been processed.

Splashpad®

  • SPLASHPAD® admission is not included in Dinosaur Crossing admission unless specifically stated.
  • SPLASHPAD® picnic area is reserved for our guests enjoying the SPLASHPAD® feature.

Handicapped Access and Special Needs

  • Our interactive exhibits are wheelchair accessible. Handicapped children may have a chaperone help in Jackpot Mine or Thunder Creek. Wide-wheeled strollers / wheelchairs are recommended for the natural gravel pathways in Dinosaur Crossing.
